Debt free is the way to be. You ever watch Dave Ramsey's podcast, WT?
Listening to people who make less than I do have a "debt free scream" and finding out they paid off their house at 40 y/o motivates me. Some of the single mom's stories will make you cry.
I like Dave Ramsey. I miss him posting on this thread like he used too. Of course he didn’t use his real name. He went by “Rusty Hornet” or something like that.

I probably look more like him than Rusty does. Hell, if I'd grow just a little hair Dave and I could be twins. We were born the same year.

My wife and I have started following Dave Ramsey when we were engaged. Actually my wife’s Dad required that we take his Financial Peace class as part of our pre-marital counseling. Man it was good and we frequently point other young couples in that direction. Patience is right, how to handle finances is lost on most of the younger generation.

Liking this post is kinda like patting myself on the back. Life is keeping me humble though. Barbs car won't start, all of a sudden. Turns over but won't run.

I would start by dropping the carb bowl and cleaning out any debris. Then clean your points.

    If those don't work, I don't have a clue.

Check and listen to see if the low pressure fuel pump cycles. You should hear it when you turn the key to the on position. If it’s fuel injected you also have a high pressure pump mounted on the engine with a line going to the fuel rail. There is also a pressure switch on the fuel rail also. Do check you fuses under the hood. You have them for the ignition system and the fuel pump. There are also some relays located there also.

FedEx stopped delivering to my door during the covid help crunch and have been leaving packages at the street since then. 600' away and out of sight from the house. I have contacted fedex by phone and email several times to no avail (as expected).

Today, the driver actually delivered to the house. Apparently putting this sign out last night helped...

I have another fedex delivery in a few days. I think I'll put the sign back out in case it's a different driver. Will likely add "Thanks for delivering to the door last Tuesday, keep up the good work" in case it's the same driver. :D

I hear ya. Lately I haven’t got to keep any of my over time pay. I got excited a few weeks ago when I had a ton of overtime. It all went to replacing the TV and paying off a ER bill. I choose to look at it in the positive. At least I had the overtime to cover it and didn’t have to pull it out of savings.

    Let the Ford jokes begin....

    I'll go first.

Why are there so many Ford MatchBox cars?

So, starting at a young age, kids can learn to push them.

    :stickpoke:
The old standbys (BTW I drive a ford product, well Lincoln but underneath its just a Ford Edge, but I was a Chevy guy for a long time)

    Fix Or Repair Daily

    Found On a Road Dead

85% of all Fords made are still on the road today... The other 15% made it home.

What do you get when you crash a Ford Focus with a Ford Fiesta?
    A Ford Fusion.

    :joke:
