    Good morning : My People.

So a week ago I get a certified letter delivered to me in Des Moines. Yipp....wife is divorcing me. Nice.
No call or text or email. Nothing but dropping outta the sky on me.
    Ok, I guess.
I'll be in here but I won't be geographically present for a bit.
All is well. I'm not jumping off a ledge or anything.
Prayers appreciated for a swift transition.

    I'll be in touch soon.
Sorry you're going thru this my friend. You have a support team here.

    AR Stocks...

Daniel Defense or Magpul SL-S or BCM SOPMOD Mod 0?
I have not used the "S" model of that Magpul SL stock, but I have a few of the regular SL version and prefer them over the other stocks you mentioned. I used to love the BCM stock, but the fit and adjustment are overly tight.

Now that you mention it, DOGG .... the BCM stock is tight. I guess that I just figured it would loosen with time, and be just right ! (but maybe that's a misplaced belief) :dunno:

Took the family to the Antique Mall yesterday. Found some deals on Legos for the kiddo. Wife found a neat little ring and we picked up a few McCoy cookie jars along with some hand tools. Good time and look forward to another trip in a few months.

Have been wanting to make a carriage stop for the lathe, but didn't have the aluminum around to make it yet. Carriage stop is useful so you don't accidentally run your tooling into your chuck and have a catastrophic failure. Found this aluminum clamp for $3 yesterday and knew right away it would work. Let the process begin.

Remove the clamping screw, make some measurements. Cut, mill, file, drill, sand and tap. Took me a bit to get it the way I liked it. Decided to make the stop bolt hole slightly larger to allow my dial indicator to be swapped in and put a small Allen screw to hold that in place. Came out pretty nice and clamps down tightly with the wing nut.

Got them all, don’t care for any one over the others. But I do have a couple of the magpuls as opposed to only one of the others each.
    My take is:

The SL-S is very comfortable and wide. Good fit. Intuitive controls but its heavy and a little bulky.

The Daniel Defense is very comfortable but a little minimalist and the release lever is difficult to manipulate. I have the DD grip on almost everything. Nice and light too.

Don't have the BCM but I thought it might be middle ground and cheaper. Maybe not....
