Did you explain to him what his was missing by not having it Wizard-ized?When I was running 20+ miles a week and lifting 2-3x a week I was 175 with a 10% body fat. At 5’8” with a 34” waist my BMI still said overweight (and yes I am big boned and have broad shoulders!). After totally ****ing up my spinal cord in 2016 my weight got up to almost 210, now a svelte 202. Been trying to get back into lifting and am walking 3 miles a day but its hard to lose much wt in your later 60s.
Now to talk about something much more fun. Got to the range today and went old school: Springer RO 1911 and Ruger SP 101 with some full magnums as well as 38s. While there I ran into a cardiologist I used to work with who was there giving his pristine CZ 75 pre B a work out. Sorry I did not get any pics (and no its not for sale—I asked!).
The CDC's BMI calculator says at 6' I should be 180 or under. Sigh....When I was running 20+ miles a week and lifting 2-3x a week I was 175 with a 10% body fat. And many of you will remember, that when I started our big diet challenge a couple of years ago, I weighed about 221 lbs.. So, I ended up losing (and keeping!) almost 40 lbs. of blubber off the old bod.
But yet ..... I'm still a fatty ?!?! FU, BMI !!!
The admiration is mutual !Another reason you are my hero.
I ran a lot, cross country, long distance track, soccer. I wore a lot of spikes.I'm back down to wearing 32s again after about a decade in 34s. I was up to 36s for a brief time when I got close to 200lbs. I'm hoping to be in 30s by the end of the year.
Cookie, I cannot imagine being 6'1" and 125lbs. You must have needed to wear golf spikes to keep from blowing away in the wind
I hope not, if he were closer I’d love to hang out and learn his ways. You better stay away from a cookie! You’re in no shape to fight right now. That 1/2 lb makes a big difference!
I trust the cdc, you should too… get to 180 before they come get ya…The CDC's BMI calculator says at 6' I should be 180 or under. Sigh....

As you can tell, gangsters, I'm full of P&V tonight. I had a crazy (for me) day.
I had to go to I.U. Health to get some blood drawn (usual tests --- lipids, glucose, etc.)
for an upcoming regular M.D. visit next week.
1st- my old faithful truck won't start. I put it on a little (motorcycle) charger, let it sit for an hour, and it did start. Limped it to Beck's Service Center, and eventualy, and $248 later, I had a new battery. Off to the med center I went.
Oh, and they found the reason for some small oil leakage on my garage floor. Needs an oil pan gasket .... and said they have to "pull something" (I didn't hear exactly what), and it would be $1500 for the labor ! They said "keep an eye on it for now".
2nd- Finally at the med center, there was much confusion (from emplyees, and patients) over a new electronic check-in system. PLUS .... they insisted I had to wear a mask (which didn't thrill me, but OK).
Then,.... some guy with an ankle bracelet and a bad attitude was taken back to the 'Specimen' room (in the same station as the blood-draw folks). A few minutes later.
CRASH, BAM, YELLING, EMPLOYEE FLIES OUT OF LAB AND SLAMS DOOR, MORE YELLING !
I jump up, thinking that the (probable) work-release criminal, who was there for his weekly drug testing .... had attacked the nurses
It turns out that a patient had passed-out due to seeing her own blood. About (4) nurses were working on her. I thought that they were going to Code Blue her !
Eventually, the patient was revived. And an hour into this mess, they eventually took my blood samples.
#3- I'll likely have a conniption fit, if I have to write-out #3 You're off the hook, gangsters !
6’ 3” 170lbs 32” waist outta high school. Same specs today, but floating around 200lbs… would love to be around 185. Winter usually adds 10 lbs for me..
: Marked safe from the wrath of the atomic OG.
But all in all, your ability to keep your level is what makes you cooler than the other side of the pillow.
