I was able to do a decent polish to my AR-24K and in the end, it felt pretty good. But, it still did not compare to a Cajunized CZ and it was sold for a loss. I'm thinking that the K2 would probably follow a similar path. I really do with CZ would up the capacity of the 97. That's a whole lot of grip space for just 10 rounds, but it still tops the 8 in my 1911s.

Hence my love/hate relationship with CZ. I love the Cajunized goodness. I hate that they have ruined all other guns for me.

How did the EGW ignition parts compare to the C&S ones?

I really have had great luck with the C&S pieces. That said, I am no a full on EGW operator. The pieces are just so well made. The Sear had to be fit to the gun. No issues with doing that as the end result was amazing. The race hammer made me giddy to look at.

Speaking of .40 CZs, I got the stainless guide rod for the 40P last night. I went with the mold ejection pins from an industrial supply company and am really surprised at how pefectly they fit. They come a bit long and need trimmed to fit, but are perfectly dimensioned in all other respects. At $5.18 each, I figured it was worth a shot. I'm meeting up with Tom a lunch tomorrow and will give it a shot to see if it impacts the cycle issues the gun has.

I will be very interested to hear the results.

I'm hopeful. The stock plastic guide rod was bowed heavily and I imagine was causing a bit of drag during cycling by allowing the spring to ride up close to the barrel. I'm taking a heavier spring that I cut to fit too, so we'll see how she runs.

Spring retention is the reason for 1 piece guide rods. It does work.

I am seriously looking forward to owning a real 10mm.
