I got it last week from Greg.
I already had an Ignition control group and magwell/grip combo for the custom build that changed course.

Did the fit up on Sunday.

It is sweet. All EGW pieces. I am sold on them now.

I've had them custom fab a barrel bushing for my DE and used their bushing in the Remington. Every interaction I've had with them has been good.

    I personally don't like a rail on a 1911.

My only 1911 with a rail is the Sig I use for a nightstand gun. I'm generally not a fan of railed 1911s too since they limit holster choices a lot. For the Sig though, I have one decent holster for the few days a year it gets carried and the rest of the time it sits in or on the nightstand. That's a really heavy gun.

I want to upgrade my nightstand gun. I am not really confident in 9mm through heavy garments. I think a high capacity fotay with a rail would meet this need.

Having mover the railed TRP Operator that had nightstand duty the non-railed TRP has this position in the rotation. The P-07 and the Phantom both have rails/lights and are the "In reach HD social situation pieces.

I think you'd be good to go with that.

Speaking of high capacity, does anyone have any experience with the SAR K2? There's always been an attraction to a high cap .45 for me. But, I am trying to stop buying CZ clones. They can be great guns, but you take a bit hit when it comes time to sell it.

I've heard great things about them but there are no upgrades for them so they will be unlikely to hold a candle to a 97.

I was able to do a decent polish to my AR-24K and in the end, it felt pretty good. But, it still did not compare to a Cajunized CZ and it was sold for a loss. I'm thinking that the K2 would probably follow a similar path. I really do with CZ would up the capacity of the 97. That's a whole lot of grip space for just 10 rounds, but it still tops the 8 in my 1911s.
