I have to cheat on this too! My favorites are; Braveheart, Enemy At The Gates, Saving Private Ryan, Without Limits, Saint Ralph, Last Of The Mohicans, Patton, Gettysburg, Hoosiers, Breaking Away, Zulu. I think that covers it.

If I *had* to pick only one: Braveheart

But some movies that make picking only ONE impossible for me are:

    Saving Private Ryan
    Blackhawk Down
    We Were Soldiers
    The Last Samurai
    Blade Runner
    Full Metal Jacket
    The Crow
    Blazing Saddles
    Alien + "(s)
    Fearless
    A Clockwork Orange
    Lord of the Rings
    UHF :D

There be several that I would like to go with (Ash is awesome!), but since nobody else has said this one, it makes my list as BEST:

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension

Since you Brought up Buckaoo Banzai..... does my sig like look familiar?
You now have officially gotten the theme song buzzing through my head!

Plus it had a decent cast for a B movie. Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Jeff Goldblum, Christopher Loyd, Ellen Barken, Vincent Schiavelli and many more.

Gosh, those are some good ones. I'd have to say the best movie ever is "Christmas Vacation." Maybe I'm skewed because I've seen it about a half dozen times over the Holiday Break....

"can't see the line, can ya Russ?"

THAT movie is one of the best. When we get together for Christmas on my mom's side we watch that movie every year.

Chevy Chase's yuppy neighbor: "Griswald, where do you think you're going to put a tree that big?"

Chevy Chase in Halloween hockey mask with chainsaw: "Why don't you bendover and I'll show ya!"

    I can't decide:

    Heat?
    Shawshank?
    Godfather?
    Saving Private Ryan?
    Mad Max?
Dumb and Dumber?, ok maybe not but this was on Boilermaker TV in the dorm at Purdue my freshman year about 15 times a day and I swear we watched it at least once a day for 6 months.

Mystic River? Sean Penn is a liberal &#@) but there was damn good acting in that movie.

I would have to go with HEAT. The scene with DeNiro and Pacino in that diner has never been equaled.

I'll see your Bullit, and raise you the original Gone in 60 Seconds from the early 70s with its 45 minute long car chase.
Outside of the car movies, Blues Brothers takes the cake.
And for drinking games, can't go wrong with Top Gun. Trying taking a shot every time they say "dangerous", take off their sunglasses, or there is an unnecessary muscle flex.
