So, everyone who is wanting to crucify this woman has not checked a text while driving, right? OkieGirl has it right, sometimes **** happens. And it could happen to any one of us.

Yeah as a matter of fact I don't use my cell phone when I am driving. I guess I am old school that way. I have known too many people that have had accidents while loosing focus for just a second. Let alone someone doing something as stupid as operating a cell phone while driving.

I have text and even taken phone calls on a bike, not that big of a deal.

Yup........right up until it is a big deal.

I rode from the age of 9 until a few years ago. We sold all the bikes for personal reasons and it was just no fun to ride in the city anymore.
To each their own of course but never ever even considered looking at a phone when I was rolling. My choice.

It wouldn't happen to me because I don't have a cell phone. My wife does but she never uses it while driving. It's quite easy as I'm sure you all know, to spot a texter while driving.

How many people would still be alive if it were not for cell phones? Were those calls/messages really worth killing someone?
