Since you're not telling him, I won't link it.

I have noticed 223 Gunner is always a little proud of his stuff.

given the differences between 80s and current production manufacturing differences, as well as condition, I honestly dont think his price is off base. I seriously considered taking it off his hands but cash is a bit tight right now... :( I need a second rimfire.

After you buy the 10/22 go on the hunt for a Winchester 9422. Great addition to any collection.

OK, I know he wanted to be talked out of buying, but what are friends for if not to help you do what you should and what you know you really want to do!

I just sold the last of my 22 long rifle guns both 10/22. Ammo dried up a long time ago. Invest in ammo for the guns you have shoot and be happy. Invest into hand loading if you are not already. Things are not going to get any cheaper.

If you got to have a 22 get a upper for your AR or go with a dedicated AR22 like the M&P. Lot easier to clean and swap parts on if needed.

    You don't need A SINGLE 10/22.

You need plain one with a wooden stock, one highly modified custom, and a take down to start your collection.

I have five. I might be able to convince you that you don't need six. Then again I don't have a takedown yet, or a Charger :-)

Getcha' one. Then another and another and................Then you'll start looking for a magnum. Once you find it, you'll want to swap a .17 HMR barrel onto it. Then it will occur to you that you can put a .17 HM2 barrel on a .22lr model, or a Charger, or both. By that time you will have 5K posts on Rimfire Central and you will understand that all the guys who tell you the .17 caliber conversions are bad have never owned one and are just repeating BS they heard online. But I digress..........Getcha' one.

    Get a 1980s-era Marlin 39A.
Of course, you'll be able to buy three 10/22s for the price of one of those little beauties. ;)

Saying talk me out of a 10/22 is like saying, don't talk me out of jumping off a cliff. Everyone should have a 10/22, it should be like a belly button, you should be born with one.

Ok I'll try to talk you out of buying a 10/22 by telling you to buy 2 10/22s since you will want to customize one beyond belief, and keep one original to let you know how accurate they are right out of the box.

    Sorry. :D

Don't get a 10/22. Get a CZ 452 or 455. You don't have to modify it and it will out shoot the 10/22 right out of the box.
