    i dont understsnd this one?
    is she police or military.
if police why carry a flag chamber on the rifle?
what if you need to use that rifle?
    1. its not chambered
    2. you have that plastic flag in the way to chamber?

    I believe she's military.

It's common practice to patrol with a flag in the chamber in several countries.

In France it's the same thing with our soldiers patrolling our streets.
I got close enough to a few of them to see if they had a loaded gun.

They use that thing in France.

You need to eject it to load a round.

They do it because they don't trust soldiers with loaded guns, especially among big crowds.
They had NDs in the past when they had long shifts and soldiers had to take their rifle in and out of the car many times a day.
Also in case someone grabs the rifle they can't use it right away ... unless they know what they are doing.

A few people even believed French soldiers patrolled the streets of Paris with empty guns, unloaded mags ... until someone attacked a soldier with a machette and got shot a few times.

The guns are only loaded when they are in a "war zone".

I approched a patrol of 8 soldiers to take a close up picture of their guns ... I had some weird looks ... :):

That's not my picture but they had that same similar chamber flag.

    The safety is also on.

They are here to make people feel safe, not to shoot people.

In France they can only legally shoot back if they are shot at first anyway ...

A few months back a bad guy waved a machette and tried to attack a group of soldiers.
It's not after he badly injured one of them than the others could open fire.

With cops the guy would have been shot before he got close enough to injure the officers.

They don't have the same legal use of force.
In other countries it's probably the same, soldiers can only return fire.Cops can shoot first if there's a threat.
