I think the new 'High Power' is well thought out. I'm not sure what people were expecting but I think if you just think of it as an evolution then it makes more sense. It really is a different gun that just pays some homage to the original. It would be silly for FN to bring back a 100 year old gun as is, they weren't even selling the last 20 years of their production. Not being a plastic striker fired they would already face a challenge in todays market so they had to do some updates which they did, higher capacity to compete with current guns, nice sights, cerakote finish, good trigger, updated the barrel locking system etc. If they did just bring back a standard HP everybody would just complain anyway about the price or how their T or C series is still better blah blah. If you're a stalwart fan of the old design there's millions of them out there, or just get a SA-35 which has some slight but important updates.You're right about one thing-abomination- they're both abominations.
