I was lucky enough to have one in my hands when my FIL ordered his DT-11, I wish browning made a gun this nice but they don’t. Honestly I have shot Kreighoffs and Perazzis and while they are nice I think beretta is my ticket. I want a super gun with no engraving and the SL-2 is about the only ticket I can find

Actually, Browning does make some very nice higher end guns. They just have to be ordered from the custom shop. I just don't seem to fit the Italian guns real well, other than a few Perazzi's I've handled. The DT-11 is a fine gun though

I bought this years ago from a broke friend, my kid just had it out while spending time in Md. I've never shot it, I have an early invector Citori that I shoot when I need one. Is this a 525?

Obviously it's not exactly a 525. Being a "lightning" model, I'd speculate it's a little lighter weight but otherwise I'd bet it's basically an early version of the Citori CX. I base that on the rib height and the sporting clays designation.

    No.

Invector plus was in 1991. With the 325. My 1997 citori is a 425. The 526/625 in America have a slant in the receiver where the stock comes into the receiver.

That is about 4-5 times cost of a 725. Upgrade is an understatement.
They are awesome guns. Looks are amazing. Barrel tech is crazy. Would be a hard purchase used, a they are almost all custom dimension guns. Find one that is your dimensions wou be extremely hard.

They make some very pretty hand fitted guns with nice wood. Rich 1% kinda things. But they are still not on the same level as the dt-11 for robustness or feel when shooting clays. And the sl2 is the lasted gun for the Olympic/ world champion shooter.
The browning Belgium custom shop to the dt-11 /sl2 is a apple and orange comparison. The are meant for different end uses.

That gun is going to cost me 30K~ , 24 for the gun and an additional 5 to have the stock cut to my body. TBH used guns don't really interest me, I want a BNIB gun I know only I abused lol , below is how I will buy the gun directly from Berettas Custom Shop in Texas then their in house stock fitter will begin his work.

Why not coles in Florida? They have wider selection wood, probably better prices on wood too. They have headed sl2 as a pre order on the coles site

After checking out Coles website that's the ticket it looks like having the stock cut is included in their 23K price which is great for me . Beretta is selling the stock cutting as an extra service...
