It's not the governments and antagonists that are wanting him to be President. It's the common people. The world isn't saying to itself "Which American Candidate would make it easiest for us to ****?!?", it's saying out loud, "We're tired of having a bully leading the world. It's time that the most powerful person in the world be someone we can actually respect, someone Presidential."

Don't take my word for it, go to outside websites. Guardian.co.uk (the most read online paper outside of America) makes fun of Bush as one of its primary advertisements on its site. They even post articles on Obama and McCain, read what the world thinks. There's many many more world-wide articles for reading which are written outside of the states, all easy to find. The one thing nobody is aiming for is a weak America. The outside world wants a very STRONG America, because whether America likes it or not, they are the Police of the World and have been so since D-Day. America the saviour country, who right now is just being a Bully in the middle east, and when France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, China, Russia and all the other countries say before the fight even starts that it's wrong to invade Iraq, and who continued to say it for years afterwards, those voices should have been listened to.

Those countries don't want to rape America, they NEED America. But a Bully as the leader of the world is enough to scare anyone, and McCain is just a continuation of that Bullying, in their eyes. Obama is the only candidate in years to come across as a Leader, as Presidential.

Any candidate that does not get the approval of Europe makes me consider them to be our next president! Their news organizations, like ours (CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post, etc.), are all one sided, but even more leftist than ours. The elites brainwash the children as they go through K-12 and then they promise them healthcare and other rewards for following them blindly.

So when the common (blind) people of Europe want Obama to be our next president, that is all the knowledge I need to know to not want him! The countries of Europe have already lost their sovereignty to the European Union, I do not wish the United States to be placed under the dictates of the U.N. I want this nation to keep its sovereignty, Obama would be a further step towards a one-world government. Obama wants this country to be everything our founding fathers did not want it to be!

Bigum, because you're voting for the new Leader of the Free World when you vote for the President. Because if a person is at all interested in World Peace or has Global Interests as a primary concern, instead of if they can carry a gun with them into the 7-11, World Opinion matters.

Anyhows, this entire thread is why Obama will win. Because McCain has no strong points, so McCain supporters are left with only negative politics in their fight to keep Obama out of office. And when those undecided ask why they should vote for McCain instead of Obama, here's what they hear:

Because Obama is a Muslim with too strong of ties to his Christian Church.
Because Obama is a Socialist errr... Marxist
Because Obama is too black and too white.
Because Obama is an Eloquent Speaker who can't Speak without stuttering.
Because Obama switches his position, but is also close-minded.
Because Obama has bad friends, and no friends for throwing them under the bus.

You guys are so trapped up in your lies that you have no idea what the truth is anymore, and counter each other without realizing it... Like 4Sarge thinking that a Black man could support the segregation of a Lower Class and Upper Class in an effort to make the Upper Class richer and the Lower Class poorer (Marxism, AKA 1-step away from Slavery), and someone else claiming he's a Socialist (the most complete opposite belief to Marxism possible, where all people receive equal shares of everything).

You guys are great at patting each other on the back. You've all got each other supported very well, kudos. But you don't make a damn bit of sense outside your little circle. You have NOTHING positive to say about your candidate, so you resort to trying to find negatives in the other candidate.

Vote for him because he's conservative (kinda...), that's a good enough reason. But don't try to convince me to, I wouldn't vote for him unless Clinton was his opponent. And if you're not trying to convince me, which you can't do... why the hell are you still posting here?!? This is a Welcome thread (and I appreciate now being, officially, the most welcomed person ever on this Forum, based on the total number of posts to my thread), if I really wanted to talk politics with you, guess which thread(s) I would be on?

You wanted to know why I'm voting Obama, I gave you the reason. 120% means, no room for change. You want to try posting something positive about McCain, here's a link to the correct thread(s): Politics, Laws and 2nd Amendment - INGunOwners

I'm not here to talk to a bunch of McCain people to change their opinion (or I'd be on that thread). I'm here to chat at an old friend and secretly stalk her behind her husband's back. :P It's Monday, have a good week.

I support Obama 120% YOU made this a political thread. Dont blame that on others. Just read some of the other introduction postings.<<snip>>

I believe in the 2nd Amendment as written, not as translated. The right for "the people", not "every person" to bear arms. <<snip>>
Red text... NOW you're just not making any sense at all! But you have a right 1st ammendment right to NOT make any sense at all.
Bigum, because you're voting for the new Leader of the Free World when you vote for the President. Because if a person is at all interested in World Peace or has Global Interests as a primary concern, instead of if they can carry a gun with them into the 7-11, World Opinion matters.

Because Obama is a Muslim with too strong of ties to his Christian Church. I suppose you could call a preacher who preaches "Black Liberation Theology" with ties to marxism christian... and who screams from the pulpit "God Bless America??? Naw, naw, naw, naw. But God D**N America... God Da*n America!!!"... but I don't
Because Obama is a Socialist errr... Marxist How about a Marxist who to imitate equality on the facade quotes ideas of socialism.
Because Obama is too black and too white. I have never heard ANYBODY say that he is white! I have heard he (barak obama)himself proclaim proudly about his african heritage. While at the same time saying that his white grandmother is "a typical white person". Proud of his black heritage? A Black father who abandoned him when he was two? and scoffs at his white family who paid for him to go to private schools and Harvard????
Because Obama is an Eloquent Speaker who can't Speak without stuttering. An eloquent speaker ...as long as he has a teleprompter, and a well written speach.
Because Obama switches his position, but is also close-minded. I also never heard he was close-minded. He is open to whatever loose rhetoric or empty promises will slither him through the political machine.
Because Obama has bad friends, and no friends for throwing them under the bus. THis also does NOT make any sense at all.

    <<snip all this meaningless drivel>>

    Dave,

You came to an Indiana Pro Gun Board to espouse what we (I) perceive as anti gun view in your very first post in the Welcome thread and then continue on with the 120% Obama rhetoric. If you wanted this opinion of yours in the Politics, 2nd Amendment thread then you should have posted it there. You chose to make these statements and since this is America you have the right to do so but do not complain about it later.

    Let me refresh your memory:

I support Obama 120% (although I hate his position on FISA, but understand his need to support it currently). I own an M16A2 because it gives me fond memories of my time in the military.

I believe in the 2nd Amendment as written, not as translated. The right for "the people", not "every person" to bear arms. I believe that that right is limited to the right to defend ones home (militia), and if away from home, that right is curtailed. I believe anyone that pulls a gun on a man to threaten him loses that right to bear arms. You pull a gun out, don't hesitate; Shoot the bastard and hope the law agrees with you. Someone pulls a gun on me, there better be not even the slightest bit of hesitation to shoot because I will kill the man if he doesn't.

I am not a nice guy. I will argue with the best of you if I'm right, and I will apologize when I find I was wrong. HOWEVER, I do not get angry. If you think I'm all irrational and pissed at a comment you made, you are wrong. I do not mean to EVER be insulting, I will say how I feel short of using derogatory terminology towards you (If I think you're an *******, I won't actually say precisely how I feel, and I probably already think you're an ******* :P). I will always think carefully, excluding outside influence from media or other posters before leaving a reply to something I disagree with. But I will post on things I disagree with.

In your last post you stoop again to the Obama rhetoric. Sarge must be a Racist (Implication) because he opposes Obama for President. I never once mentioned Race (Black, white or purple) in any of my threads, I posted links and specific articles about and from Obama so I'll call Sarge a Racist. Dave, that is getting very old and doesn't play well here or with me.

I'm not here to talk to a bunch of McCain people to change their opinion (or I'd be on that thread). I'm here to chat at an old friend and secretly stalk her behind her husband's back

I'm not a McCain person but I'm 200% NOT an Obama sheeple and if your true intentions were to contact Pami and strut a few political feathers then you succeeded but You Sir Do NOT Impress Me.

Well *******, I've not once commented directly to you because you make it extremely obvious that you are an *******. I've also not once promoted Obama on this thread other than to say I support him, and to answer questions directed directly at me, and never once towards someone who is an *******. I've also only once been derogatory towards McCain, and not yet at all to any of his supporters *******. You want to keep rambling on about McCain in hopes of gaining more acceptance from your Forum peers, feel free, I can't stop you, and wouldn't want to. My recommendation that you do it on a thread whose purpose is for just such a topic was so that when I now report you to the mods it is extremely obvious that, until this post, I've never once antagonized you as you've tried doing to me from the beginning. So, *******, have a nice week, I'll go right back to ignoring what you post anyways since I don't actually talk to *******s.

It is understood that your name is not Dave... but it is less derogatory than *******... or RICHARD which is what I thought of with that last post.
Report to the mods if you feel bullied.
I could remind you that since YOU started ths thread... YOU could CLOSE it....

    Where's the bacon?
I'm here to chat at an old friend and secretly stalk her behind her husband's back. :P It's Monday, have a good week.
:bs: If you were here to "secretly stalk her behind her husband's back", you wouldn't have posted openly where he'd identify you. Granted, though I've not met them, I'm reasonably sure the first thing Pami would have done on finding out you were here would likely have been to say, "Hey, Dave's on the board!" or something similar. No matter. Your posts are inflammatory in their message, (like quietly and calmly saying in a synagogue, "You know, Hitler wasn't all bad; he DID commission the Volkswagen."), your attitude is unpleasant and inappropriate (You called him "*******", when all he did was call you by your name. Whether he knows you or not, it's still your name. I doubt you know Barack Obama, but you heard his name in a public forum and you don't hesitate to use it.), and had Lars and Pami not vouched for you at the very start, I'd have quickly thought you a troll. I'm beginning to think so regardless of their vouching for you. Please note that I have not as yet called you that, only described what I would have thought then and what I'm beginning to think now.

I try to speak reasonably with everyone. Sometimes, in spite of my best attempts, the effort is not returned. I am saddened to see it when that happens.

    Blessings,
    B

Ok, *I* am closing this thread. This has gone way out of hand.

Sphynx was correct in that all the political discussions should have stayed in the Politics section of the board. He tried (until this morning) to keep his posts rational, calm, and well written, despite all the angry words thrown back at him.

I told him that he was about as likely to change the minds of the regulars on this board as everyone else was as likely to change his.

I do NOT think that he should have continued answering the questions in this welcome thread if he did not want to invite the political discussion to move to here. I do NOT think that if his sole purpose was to get back in touch with me that he should have continued posting on a board that is so anti-Dave. We had quite a discussion going on in PMs; I do NOT know why that stopped. Edit: One more thing, I do NOT think he should have referred to ANYONE on this board as an *******. That was completely inappropriate, and if it happens again in such an inflammatory manner, I will ban him myself. Understood?

If you (anyone) have something more to say, angry or otherwise, please contact me or another mod. Continue your political discussions in the Politics forum (which I generally try to avoid because I hate all the crap thrown on both sides of the fence).

But I am DONE with the mudslinging in this thread.
