I have an option to pick up a post '64 WInchester 1894 30-30 for $300. It's basic version with little wear. I don't see where I can go wrong. Anybody think otherwise?

It was a gentleman that advertises basic gunsmithing, cleaning, etc. He actually had a slew of used fishing poles and reels. I bought bought a couple of those as well. It was at his house so I feel it was pretty legit. He had a few other older guns, pistols, and ammo boxes that are probably 30-50 years old. I think he's unloading what he doesn't want to keep. He gave me a card so he at least advertises. He's having a yard sale over this weekend (4th) so I'm sure he's open for business. His name is Mike, card says (Gun & Reel) 812-525-9608. He's between Morgantown and Nashville. He had a 30-06 model 6 he thought was fairly rare. I don't know enough about them, but maybe some of you guys might.
