If I ever decide to start stealing guns, I'll start by breaking into all the police cars in my neighborhood. I'd have a great chance of scoring several police firearms.

Kind of amps of the danger level if you get caught though.

    Wait, wut?

Your preaching responsibility and your guns were not in a safe.

    That's what I said?!?

    That was almost 7yrs ago.

I learned that lesson the hard way!

You keep your finger of the trigger so it doesnt go bang.
You keep you unsecured firearm in your truck because?

The lock on your truck if undefeatable?
    Your windows are hammer proof?
Your neighbor watches your property really really well?
Your gun doesn't have legs and won't walk away?
You can afford the guns just not a lock box or safe?
You have a watch/guard dog that was a decendant from Lassie and Rin Tin Tin?
    Or your lazy?

I made a hidden compartment in my truck that my 380 goes in.

If you dont know where the button is to open the door, your not going to even know where the compartment is.

Would you like to assume anything else?:D

All I was looking for was a mentor in perfection, thought you might be that guy until I saw you left your guns laying around.

haha. hey, indymonkey, I'm trying to rig up something similar for my car, is there any way you'd be comfrotable pm-ing me with vague plans for the box itself? I understand if you don't but I"m looking for something to stow a nice little hold-out... in addition to boxes in the trunk and pass.compartment...

some call it paranoia, I call it preparedness.
    [/threadjack]

FNS: I understand its easy for us non-LEOs to bash LEOs, but the fact that LEO's are leaving duty weapons unsecured in cars that stand out as cop cars is inexcusable.

and on a similar note, why are all the "undercover" cop cars crown vics or chargers? you know how confused I'd be if I passed a beat-up camry while I was doing 85 on I-70 and it flipped on red and blues? exactly.

96firephoniex, try Fishers next time, they've got some GREAT UC cars! Several years ago, I watched a chick in a Mustang pull up next to a Camaro with tinted windows, chrome wheels, etc. She hit the gas hard out of the light, Camaro beside and behind her, 'til she went past 50, and blinkityblinkblink! They seem to get different cars all the time over there, maybe fpd could enlighten us?

tryin': I think FPD has a higher motor pool budget than IMPD or ISP just due to the higher property values leading to higher tax amounts...

note to self: do not street race in fishers.
