    In Indiana, local governments cannot prohibit carry in parks or fairgrounds. The issue here is when the fair is run by a private entity. The State Fair is a matter of state law (or rather, state regulation) and the local governments have nothing to do with it.

    Who is the private entity...and how do we apply pressure to end the nonsense?

    The State Fair is not a "private entity".
    The firearms pre-emption law states that only the State of Indiana can make gun laws (with the exemption of Feds).
    The State of Indiana is the one that made the restriction of "no firearms at the State Fair".
