Don't need to change. Have always done it right.

I have no issues with someone changing their tune or adapting, etc. That is how one evolves to stay alive in changing conditions. You just always make it sound like some kind of epiphany that you had and no one else had ever done it until you did, all the while right up to that point saying everyone else is wrong, and saying your way is correct. It gets a bit old to wait for the prophet to recognize someone else may have a good idea, etc.

so it’s my script persona that you hate or the fact I am allowed to post my opinions to this forum in a way that creates discussion of the topic?

I am at a place where I don’t have to sugar coat everything for a sensitive crowd. Paid my dues. Don’t give a Rat’s AXX.

only when one self examines his product or idea can there be room for improvement. Everything else is untested. We can examine, learn or ignore the topics. If the few on here can’t get passed the rebuttal of the poster and not the subject, Then I suggest either post something we can use or quit the hissy fits.

OK, you are a big bore wheel gun guy, we can accept that.

You seem to have joined the current panic. You have decided to join the high capacity auto crowd.

I am a 1911 guy and have used the same platform for years. I happy to continue with what I have. Many here are modern gunners that have been carrying that way all along.

You come in as a new convert and start preaching. Your server may set some experienced folk on edge.

actually FWIW, It would be misleading to label me by some of my thought starting posts. While my carry habits Have favored major calibers, the truth is my gun culture in rounds fired in SD Training is 10% of my total focus. My bullet and primer inventory is in an Excel Spreadsheet. Since January this year my YTD on April 1st I have went through 14250 handgun rounds fired. 70% have been 9mm through high cap pistols in practice, training and competition.

A few days ago you took a dump in a thread about 15 round mags for Glock 48's, yet this week the light came on and you decided more capacity was a needed thing... I guess the self examination took place between that post and the current thread?

After 6, you are out of the fight? How about 14 hits with .45 ACP, and the bad guy is still breathing? That's what happened to this police officer who was a master firearms instructor and a sniper on his department's tactical team.

The story doesn't mention whether the officer had an Excel spreadsheet or not. :)

My off duty EDC consists of 60 rounds. 17+1 in the gun and 2 spare 21 round mags. I also keep 3 more 21 round mags in my truck, and my AR with 4 29 round mags.

Been carrying like that for years. Is it overkill? I don't think so. No one ever came out of a gun fight and said, "I wish I hadn't brought all these bullets..."

There are only two situations in which you can have too much ammo. When you're in the water, or when you're on fire.

I'm glad reality finally set in for you. I've seen a few people make the realization that using outdated technology and equipment is foolhardy in today's society. The .45 ACP (and similar rounds) simply have no place in today's self defense firearms.
