    Nice Job! I bet I know the reasoning behind the cut bayonet. The 30+ round mags curve so much the bayonet will not fold ot unfold when the mag is locked in. They probably cut it down so the bayonet could function still

    I never thought of that, and you are right, the cut bayonet just barely clears with the 40 round mag that came with the gun installed. I think I will just get a replacement bayonet and use the fixed 10 round mag I got for free.

    edit: maybe we need an sks faq?
