Please explain what the NAGR is, what it does, what is the real story behind Dudley Brown, why I can't see who has signed this "petition", why I can't sign it without making a donation, what is your relationship to Dudley Brown and NAGR, and if you did any research at all before posting this here.

I do not know Dudley Brown nor do I have any affiliation with NAGR.
I didn't have to donate to sign the petition, and I have never donated.
I do get emails from NAGR that has to do with the second amendment.
I don't know why you can't see the names of people on the petition.
Did that answer all of your questions?

Not all of them, but here's a new one- what do you think signing this or any other internet "petition" will accomplish?

Signing online petitions is a form of mental masterbation at best. You want to make a difference call or write your elected representatives directly. This issue is pretty much a dead horse anyway. All I can see this being is a way to raise funds for a group I have never heard of and who have done nothing to support me that I am aware of.

This idea was floated over a year ago. It isn't going anywhere, but NAGR is still trying to milk it for $. Sounds fishy to me. Keep your money or donate it to Gleaners, Wheeler Mission, or some other organization that will put it to good use locally.
