I'm still working a deal to get a 229 in 9mm and then I wanna buy the 227. And 224 after that. I guess if wife can buy cloths shoes and jewelry I get something too right? Lol. Maybe its time to find a sig owners addiction group.
We definitely need a group. I got a 229 a month ago on trade from another INGO'r. Best decision I've made in a while. Or worst according to my wallet. Traded for a 239 at the 1500. Today found a 224 and will pick that up on Tue. I have a problem. There. I admitted it. That's the first step to getting better right? Hey does anyone have 226 they wanna sell me?
I currently have 6(2x228, 1x228R, 1x229 40/357, 1x226 9, 1x239 40/357). Probably going to add a couple more but can't decide on which. I don't think I have a problem I just like Sigs.

I'm very happy to report I have added another Sig to my inventory. Picked up a new P224 DA/SA in 9mm today. It is the nickel finish model with SRT and SigLight night sights. Just got done cleaning and lubing her up for a range trip after work tomorrow. I hope this and my 239 will be my primary CCW's with the weather heating up. The fit and finish are top notch as always. Although, I was a little disappointed to find out that it does not have full rails like my other Sigs.
Odd QC issue happened when I picked it up. I opened the case to have a look and noticed the mags only went to 10 rounds. I could have sworn the 9mm count was 12+1. So I turn the mag over - it is a .40 mag. Both mags were .40. They had one other 224 in .40 in their display. I asked them to pull the mags for it. It has one 9mm and another .40 mag in the case. WTF. The shop gave me the one 9mm 224 mag they had and a 229 13 rounder for my troubles. I tested both with snap caps to make sure everything fed correctly. They said they would contact Sig and have them drop ship another 9mm mag direct to my house.
I dunno if I'm ready to buy into all the hoopla about Sig QC going to **** lately. This the third non German Sig I have purchased and the only instance of poor QC I have seen. The caveat being I haven't fired the 224 yet of course! But then again the LGS easily could be the ones that swapped the mags. Maybe. I dunno. Just thought it was interesting. Never seen that happen before.
I have the Alien holster for a HK USP and it is comfortable and it conceals a large pistol well. The price is low (under $30) for the quality of the holster. I have used a Galco SkyOps for a P229 but it is about ½ inch longer than the P224.
I've always wondered about those Alien holsters. Never went any further than that though. I'm a die hard crossbreed fan for several reasons, and I have several of them for my Sigs (including my EDC P228). Although I'm not sure if they offer one for a p224.
