I'd prefer the clean look too, but I can tell there's something else under my white stripe and I'm scared to death to try and take it off. She was abused in a previous life. I'd lay money she did time as a drag car based on the random after-market holes in the dash and elsewhere. And by elsewhere I mean in the firewall. We think an engine had catastrophic failure.

But she's loved now.

Yeah, someone did a swap job, but used '96 spindles instead of the '94-95 spindles so I have an awful bump steer issues because of the resulting tie rod placement. So I'm in the market for some new spindles too, but those things are hard to get my hands on as popular as the conversion is becoming. Guess I'll wait for some hotdogger teenager to total his daddy's 'stang and cash in when it gets parted out.

That and get rid of the crappy H-pipe. At least I hope that will solve the whine I hear coming up through the shifter. I bugs me.

Project in the works.

1988 Ranger Supercab originally a 2.9L with an Auto.

Rear end has been replaced with an Explorer 8.8 3.73 Traction Lok with new spring perches.

Changed to P71 Police Interceptor 12 hole rims with the Police Spec Goodyear Eagles

Currently mocking up the mounts and T-5 transmission while getting funds together for a 331 Stroker Small Block kit.

Changed out the 60/40 split bench with 03 Mustang Buckets - Direct Bolt-In

My 1966 and two of my kids. I've had this car almost 20 years and I'm not finished yet. It will run 13.7 in the quarter, original 289, AFR 185 heads, 5 speed with OD from a late model, power steering and AC. This year I get to do the interior again, heck, seems like I just did it (in 1993!). I've put about 120k on the car and shes been to camp perry for the nationals 3 times. I get attention in this car any time I drive it.

Well since my first post disappeared, here's my collection of fords, past and present.

1978 Ford F-250 Ranger Part Time 4x4 400 V8 Auto with only 70,000 miles and less on the motor. My dad has owned this forever and took good care of it. It's now my project/baby/barn queen. More pics here.

1978 Ford F-250 Ranger Lariat Full Time 4x4 400 v8 auto, lotsa miles.
This is my work/tow truck, attached to our 5th wheel camper.

1978 Ford F-250 Custom 2x4 351 v8 auto with losta miles and custom built wooden bed by yours truly. I sold this one off some time back when I found the 4x4 above. More pics here.

2006 Ford F-150 FX4. My dads truck for a while. He sold it due to the gas mileage, insurance, and loan payments. More pics here.

1988 Ford Ranger 2x4 with 2.slow 4 banger and manual everything (steering, brakes, tranny, etc.)
Paid $500 for this p.o.s. It was slow and leaked everything, but it was a dependable daily driver until I drove it on I-70 one too many times and chipped a piston. Actually it still worked even then, it just functioned as a out of balance 3 cylinder with another cylinder acting as an air pump. I scrapped it for some cash. More pics here.

1997 Ford Ranger 2x4 2.3L 4 banger and 5 speed stick. My very dependable daily driver until recently. I'm going to sell it soon because I found a decent 4 banger stickshift Jeep Cherokee that I fell in love with. More pics here.

As you might be able to tell, I'm a Ford fanatic, and I love their 70s era trucks.
