This is undoubtebly the best deer gun I've ever owned, this tack driver will shoot smokless powder or standard black powder. I built this setup new in 2009 and have fired 38 rounds through it based on the box of primers I used for it. Might've lost a primer or two in my pocket... so the round count is certainly under 40.
I zeroed the gun 2" high at 100 which leaves 6" of elevation compensation at 200. I fired one round, cold barrel, with 6" of hold-over at 200 yard bullseye last Friday and hit 3/8" high of center. I have not made a scope adjustment since 2009.
The gun functions and shoots flawlessly, as seen in these photos taken an hour before this post was created.
These things are as maintenance free as any firearm made. No build-up in the barrel, no nasty smell, no gummy breech plugs sticking, no misfires, no smoke when you pull the trigger. Recoil is lighter than standard black powder, accuracy is superior. If I didn't have another one sitting in the safe I'd never sell this one. This rifle is ready to hunt tomorrow... please PM any questions or offers.
