I sold both my 5906 since I wanted a rear sight that adjusted.
I saw one locally for sale with a 5906, but they run $600 - $700 (or more).
I did that when I found a 4006 .40 caliber with adjustable sights (never had a .40 before).
I thought the holsters I bought for the 5906 would fit the 4006, but not (one of them does work tightly, but I don't remember if it was OWB or the IWB).
Took it back to the range today when I was shooting a couple of large 9mms.

    Here's a range pic at 30'. I was using a rest.
I love the accuracy that I was denied with the 5906.

If the 5906 had a round trigger guard and the 4006 has a square trigger guard they won't work. Some may not fit due to the sights.

    Thanks for the input!
That must be it. I was really disappointed since I bought 2 leather holsters for the 5906 that I "ASSumed" would work.
I'm in a huge trim mode right now and after I sell 3 guns (getting the ad together for the 3rd one now), the 4006 is on the next list of 5 guns to sell (though last on that list).

I guess I should mention though at the risk of losing in 7 days I have a bid on a 5906 stripped frame with square trigger guard and stepped frame. I have a complete 5906 slide and I'm fairly certain I have the necessary parts to complete the frame. I figure at my max bid the frame will cost me 170 shipped and transfer fee, and I probably paid around 200 for 2 parts kits one of which contained the slide. Figure 20 bucks to get the frame bead blasted and I'll have my 4th 5906 in 7yrs of which this will stay in the collection for under 300. Will have to check the slide out again as I put it in my parts bin a few weeks back but may strip it and get it blasted as well.

So....I need to make some room in the safe for some suppressors and some items are going on the block...starting with some 3rd Gens Smith and Wessons.

The first four to go are a CS45 (ad in classies), a very good condition 3913 (3 mags no box); a very good to excellent condition 4516-1 (2 mags no box) and an excellent condition 6906.

If anyone here has any interest, send me a PM...
