    Ruger < Taurus

    Fixed that for you. :D

Sorry, I just could not help myself!!

I use Taurus. Sold my Glocks and Rugers to go with the Taurus. Goes boom every time and hits the target every time, and I have cash for more ammo to practice. To each his/her own, but this works well for me.

Only one thing missing--who has the sig line 'I would rather throw rocks than shoot a Taurus'? In any event, not much Taurus love here!

:soapbox: Taurus has made some bad guns for the cowboy shooters that wouldn't evenmake a good fence post. :xmad: Long story short they told the owners to kiss off andstopped standing behind their warranty.:xmad::xmad: In the early days of the company they made some very bad guns and couldn’tfix them so the bad name becomes hard to live down. :dunno: I would get Ruger as I was one of the cowboyshooters to get burned. Taurus: 0 Ruger: 7 :rockwoot::patriot::twocents:

Ruger trumps the Taurus hands down...

It's been my experience that if you get a bad trigger on a taurus your stuck with a bad trigger... with the Ruger you can clean it up safely...

Ruger is built like a tank, Taurus not so much....

    Ruger American made.... Taurus not...

Now I do like S&W's also... but Ruger is a good word in my house...

wow, i am about to be stoned. but i prefer taurus.
they have been nothing but good to me. i have a 1993 model 85 that has a trigger feel of a smith, at half the price. well close to it. plus i have used their warranty service and had my weapon repaired and back in my hands in less than a week. so i will go with a taurus.
    release the stones!!!!

No stones from here. As I said, I still believe Ruger is a better product, but the gap between Ruger and Taurus is closing. I have had problems with Ruger revolvers but none with Taurus. Mileage for others may vary but my opinion remains unchanged. If you want the best buy S&W.

I also think the gap is starting to close. I have/had many Rugers and they rock as everyone knows. I have a Taurus 970 SS 6" .22 lr, and a Taurus ss PT1911 .45acp. Both Taurus handguns get a lot of range time, always perform they way they were intended.
