Already have the .22 AR out... Good guess though, just a little late.

I don't think they have a .22 AR yet. They do have the SR-22, but that is not an AR - it is 10/22 in an AR like frame. But that is probably close enough to an AR as to negate the need for a real .22 AR.

My polymer 1911 prediction still stands.

My guess is it will be a LCP in 327. They are really pushing that round. Ruger has stated it is not a 1911 45. I will make them my first stop on Teusday morning at SHOT.

I still want the six shot, four inch adjustable sighted SP101 in .327. Or even better, a four inch six shot adjustable sighted slightly grown up SP101 in .38 Special/.357. A modern modern slightly smaller version of the Security Six, which ranks with the SP101 as the best revolver they've ever made.

I personaly hope it isn't a 1911... Boring if you'd ask me. So many others to chose from.

I'm thinkin maybe some sort of rifle in the .327 Fed. Maybe on the 77/44 or 77/22 platform. Something that'll use the famed rotary mag.

A single six in the .327 would be neat too, but I wonder if that could stand up to that sort of pressure. Probably, beefy little buggers.

    Still thinkin of other possibilities...

Well as some others have said it "might" be something in .327
I think they only have "1" gun in .327 and it would be in their best interest to push that round to increase sales with another platform.

    huuummmmm.

    [strike]Two, now. The 3" 6 shot SP101 and the 7 shot Blackhawk.[/strike]

Edit: I must correct myself. They have three .327s. The 3" 6 shot SP101, the 4" 7 shot GP100 (too much gun for the caliber, IMHO) and the 8 shot 5.5" Blackhawk.

I ever get rich and famous, I'm going to buy one of each. Still hoping for that 4" SP101 .327 though. Maybe they'll announce a bolt or lever gun chambered for the .327? That's be a sweet combo with any of the above guns.

Thanks for the update Joe, that's what I get for not keep up on stuff.
I could see them doing the LCR in a 6 shot .327, but why the suspense?

Jeez, I hope this isn't all they got:

    Ruger News

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE-RGR) is pleased to announce the introduction of the new Ruger® 22/45RP Mark III™ pistol, an even more realistic understudy for the venerable 1911 pistol. Now, the classic 1911 grip angle and feel of the Ruger 22/45 pistol is enhanced by replaceable 1911-style grip panels.

The checkered, cocobolo, 1911-style grips are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and allow shooters to swap to other grip panels to suit their shooting taste, style or need.

Like all pistols in the 22/45 lineup, the new Ruger 22/45RP pistol offers virtually identical magazine button, manual safety, and bolt stop locations as the classic 1911 pistol. The slim polymer grip frame features a serrated front strap and a checkered back strap.

The 33 ounce Ruger 22/45RP, chambered in .22 LR, features a blued alloy steel 5.5-inch bull barrel with a fixed front sight and micro-adjustable rear sight. Mounting optics on the new pistol is easy as all adjustable sight Ruger Mark III pistols are drilled and tapped for a Weaver-style scope adapter, included at no extra charge.

Although it's sure lookin like they have 1911 on thier minds... Already got the grips with a logo... I think it is a hint.

A 22/45 with replaceable grip panels.......
A 22/45 with replaceable grip panels?!?

    Well, color me surprised. wow.

Note: looks like you can use any aftermarket 1911 grip panel
    BUT
You will need to modify them (read cut down) on the back edge.

Hey, I did say something 1911 styled

Do I get 1/2 a rep for that or :dunno:
