A lot of people I talk to in public say that he sounds like a breath of fresh air. He sounds like a real person. He shows raw honesty. He's not a polished, silver-tongued politician.
This "weakness" may also be an asset. Depends on the person listening. I like honesty.
Completely agree that he's not a great orator. I'm also thankful that I'm part of that small handful of people who has their ears open and listens to what he has to say and thinks about it rather than just watching it with my eyes open and ears shut.
I'd also agree that it's down right pathetic that voters in this country have become so shallow and superficial that the packaging is all that matters. It's because of this widespread shallow lack of thought that really makes me wonder if we don't deserve the financial collapse heading our way. Let's be honest with ourselves and think about it. If the majority or the voters out there are so inept that the basis of their vote is primarily on the candidates appearance and talking skills instead of his/her past record and leadership direction then we absolutely own the collapse that's heading our way. I'm just as disappointed in the shallow folks as I am the people who don't even vote.
