Riots and what to do now?

Has anybody given any thought to what will happen if Obama loses the election and riots break out? What if the govt begins to scale back and cuts people off from their money? What would happen if people rioted like in Greece? My town is small but if say Indy was in turmoil, I don't think my job would continue. Any major disruptions would be bad for us all. I could possibly see major rioting on the coasts and especially Illinois. If many people were cut off from benefits it would be OWS on steroids! Just a question on actions, outcomes.

My first thought would be to contain the area and pick up the pieces after they've run out if steam. Property isnt worth risking a life to protect. Let'em fight each other, burn down their own houses, etc. Not sure if that's the right thought, though.

I have said all along I am prepared for riots if Obama loses and economic collapse if he wins...food, water and ammo will be worth more than money. We will stay in our home and protect it...but we are out a ways so I won't worry to much about the rioting coming here...I worry more about trucks being held up and a food and gas shortage.. My hubby works down town, he will carry to and from work and I have sent some food with him to work to last him a few days just in case he cannot get home. If you don't have some food set back that will last a couple of weeks I would get busy. Preparing for economic collapse will take a little longer.

^the above are good examples of what occurs in cities (ie. high population density). I don't expect that to spread to suburbs or rual areas due to distance between them.

Seriously? There are knuckleheads that really do burn down their own homes in a riot. "I'm pissed! I'm gonna set the couch on fire!"

I live somewhere that it is not an issue so that is probably the best defense. However, if it does happen where you live then I would suggest alternate work routes and try to keep someone at home to keep an eye on things while you are gone.

If a riot breaks out, it will be in the same 3 cities its always in. No loss for the rest of the country. No one else will notice either if it wasn't for the 24/7 media frenzy that would cover it.

i would advice anyone not to be in big city like Chicago Tuesday night or Wensday if Obama loses in a close race......especially if the Supreme Court ruling on Affirmative action comes before election .

always remember the....... First rule of a emergency situation have the fore sight not to be in the place that may cause you the emergency situation .

I have several family and close friends that live in a slime hole about 90 miles west of Chicago...I will be urging them all to stay home with the doors locked - just in case. But that really isn't any different from what I urge them to do every other night.

Weather could be a factor for riots in our climate. LA however would be ripe for another Watts type riot. The Dems have election night victory parties organized in most major cities. If Obama goes down there will be a lot of unhappy socialists out there. Good night to stay home.

The less lethal rounds are coming out of the shotgun the week of the election and the 3" OO are going in.
