Ok, maybe "pedestrian" or "commoner" food pairings would be a more appropriate label. So what say you? What food pairings do you find awesome that nothing else will match? (and it doesnt have to be food + drink)

I'll start. For me, a PB&J with Doritos and optionally a bottle of MGD. (which I just finished) The fundamental pairing doesnt include the drink, but its a nice compliment. Even similar cheesy sides like Cheetos just doesnt cut it for me.

    How about a slaw burger?

I prefer to eat my sides as sides... burger, slaw, and fries... all separate... thankyouverymuch.

Ruffles chips and vanilla ice cream

I cant judge. When I was a kid I would dip plain potato chips in ketchup. I no longer like plain chips, and ESPECIALLY no ketchup on anything but the likes of fries or 'rings.

This might be so odd, but PB and marshmallow cream sandwich?
I'm from a place where LOTS of peanuts are grown, so we are creative.

That actually sounds good, gonna have to try it.

SWMBO likes a bowl of cottage cheese with ham cubes and blue cheese dressing. Sometimes a roast beef sandwich with colby and ham salad as a topper.

It's awesome. After you pop it, just shake the bottle into the back, and shake it up again to spread it around. You'll never go back.... if you like "kick" added to your food.

I can eat cottage cheese (large curd) with just about anything too. I'm hoping to try the ham cubes.

    Outside the coup
Gonna give the hot popcorn a go this weekend. I've used the Dillo Dust on it before. Was not as good as I thought it would be, it's much better on steak. Hmmm, maybe we need some steak flavored popcorn.

    Graham crackers and root beer.

Chili and a peanut butter sandwich (we had a whole thread on this one).

    Hot sauce and damnnearanything.

    Hotdogs and sauerkraut.

Pringles and Easy Cheese (in my younger less "upstanding citizen" days)

Hater. PB on crackers, topped with a drained oyster. AWESOME

    That's just poor mans Caviar.

Try pouring some Honey on your Mac&Cheese or any other pasta dish. Makes one sweet noodle.

Mayonnaise mixed into your Steamed White Rice is awesome. But go light on the Soy after because it can curdle.

Slim Jims and pickles. (Or add cheese and make it a trio.)
