    Had one in the M5 (still have the V1).
    The need for speed isnt there for me anymore.

    I recall my first road trip with my dad with one of these running.

    "What do you need that for?"

    This coming from a guy that would run a 460 ci Ford at 120 for miles a stretch at a time.

    I did notice he liked to borrow mine so much that I gave him one for his birthday.

    Good times...great memories.

    The need for speed isnt there for me anymore.
    I don't drive crazy fast.
    It's just on long drives on the Interstate with open road, the speed that is comfortable for me that I drift to is a little above the speed limit (like it is for many people, as the speed limits are set artificially low).

    After all, the 70mph speed limit on Interstates was set using 1950's era cars to decide on a compliance speed that 80% of people complied with.
    Modern cars handle and stop so much better than 1950's cars, and when you look at the speed of the traffic on Interstates, 80mph is closer to the 80% compliance standard.
