I recently purchased a Remington 700 Magpul Hunter with a 22" 5R barrel in 308. So far, I've been very happy with it. I replaced the factory trigger for a Timney, and honestly the factory trigger wasn't that bad, I just wanted a little better. Much happier with this than I was with my 700 sps tact in the same stock or the 10 BA Stealth I had. This rifle is a keeper.

Currently trying to decide on what can for it. Keeping my fingers crossed for new legislation.

    Nice looking rifle Cbrs!
Can you give us a listing of some of the key components used? Also, what ammunition has given you the best performance from the rifle?

The things that I feel that have made the biggest difference in accuracy are the Timney trigger, the free float Walther barrel , and Leupold Mark 4 on top. The stock, grip, and rails make it look cool but I don't feel they attribute to the overall performance of the rifle.

For ammunition I can't really say what's the best. When I first purchased the rifle I bought a couple hundred rounds US surplus 7.62x51 and have only run that through it. So far its performed well, but I've only shot it out to 100 yards.

Absolutely freaking love this setup, but I think I'm going to move to a 40MM scope (3.5X10X40mm MK4 M5 probably) so that I can use the irons through the Badger rings

For a more recent purchase I picked this up from a friend who took it in trade plus some cash for one of his rifles. He wanted a Creedmoor and this is a 308 so I didn't mind taking this off his hands. I pulled the scope off of my other 308 which will most likely get sold soon. The scope is a Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16. I haven't put a lot of rounds down range with yet but I really like it.

I like the rifle, but I'm going to have to handload for it.
