    37 degrees here and raining...

Yeah the difference between me and farther south stinks. My job in Greensburg didn't cancel work but up here near New Castle I can't even get out of the driveway. I probably won't get to work tomorrow either, still coming down as I sit here.

On the plus side I got 10 hours of sleep today and had time to make catfish and fried potatoes for breakfast :D

So far, so meh. Power went out at 10:40 ish last night. Trees were dropping big branches like Ive never seen before, so Ive got a LOT of cleanup to do at some point.

@ 2:30 am I got up to check the status, and we had lost 4 degrees, so about 1 deg/hr of drop. I decided I needed to do something other than wait for Duke to fix it since I knew we couldn't be the only ones. First step was to take care of the wifey. My wife if breast feeding right now, and will usually get up at night to pump since the baby sleeps all night and she gets pretty uncomfortable, so I rigged up here pump to a 12V battery I keep charged up in the garage at all times. Worked like a charm. I then took off to get my generator, more gas, and try to maybe find a kerosene heater. No joy on the Kero heater, but I got the generator fired up and a couple larger electric heaters going. Temps are good right now, but Im still worried about all this stuff coming now. Here in a bit im going to wire my gas furnace to the generator and start heating the entire house again. :)
