I half kiddingly showed this to my wife and said "I'd like to do some more outside decorating" fully expecting her to reject the idea due to offending the neighbors. Surprisingly she said "go for it."

Why would they be alarmed. A bunch of peaceful folks from the east who had no sense of western values came in and accepted their help and hospitality with thanks.
