Seriously though, there is a person behind the meme. Everytime I see it I wonder what she thought when she first realized that she became an official meme of this entitled socialist generation. I wonder if the thought caused her to wash her hair. Maybe cleanse her mind with reality.

I can't really tell if dreadlocks are dirty by looking at them in a photo. Maybe others can. But they do need to be washed regularly, just not the same way most of us wash our hair.

I saw that start way back in 91. Everyone celebrated the fall of the Berlin wall, and later the collapse of the USSR. Wanted to spend less on defense, cut back the ships, cut back the troops, save money.
But, the military still needed to keep an eye on the same number of people.
We still had to watch those countries.
So, deployments became longer and more often.
Hardware was run so long, breakdowns were a regular thing.

I agree that we do need term limits in Congress. I would propose 12 years. But you are right -- Congress would have to approve it. Fat chance.

Too many people stupidly believed that we won the lottery with the collapse of the Warsaw Pact and failed to understand that when you have fewer men and machines doing as much or more work, it leads to greatly accelerated wear on both.

We need to do away with career politicians all together. When you make it a service to your country instead of a career and a way to make money, you'll actually get people vying for office who want to help the country instead of pillage it.
