Of course unicorn farts weaken or destroy the laws of physics. That’s what turns such a small volume of unicorn gas into a fast stream nearly endless wind that can propel train cars 2500 miles through a tube buried under the ocean.

Look. It’s either that or use protoplasm in the genesis matrix, and we all know how that turned out.

The floating tunnel they are talking about is marked in red in the map below. Going across a fjord is a whole lot different than going across the open ocean all the way to Hawaii.
The cost estimate is about $20 Billion - and that is before cost overruns. It is estimated to be ready by 2050 - and that is before schedule delays.

Yes, 20 billion for that short a distance, compared to across an ocean.
And yes, the forces will be much greater.

Plus their security measures would be fairly easy. On the tube to Hawaii we would have to prevent depth charges being dropped on it by China, North Korea, Russia, Somali pirates and even pissed off drug lords from Columbia or Mexico.

And where would they put all the gas stations, police stations, hospitals, motels, restaurants, etc.?

You guys just don't get it.
Under Socialism, nothing costs anything. Everybody works for free and gets everything they need for free.
Just look at all the Socialist countries and see how happy and healthy everybody is.

Electric train. Your car would ride on specially designed cars.
You'd ride in a train car with a bathroom.

Ah yes, that would help. They would still have security concerns about the depth charges since it would be in International waters. Or even drunk oil tanker captains bonking into the floaty things. There are a couple things that could go wrong.

100 feet down would mean the ships would go overhead.
I'd still like to see how they think people could escape.
Or if it's breached, how you'd stop the entire thing from flooding.
