Maybe a couple drone would adjust their attitude.
Sorry, I do not have the ability to change "waiving" to "waving" or fix the random capitalization, but I share the sentiment.
Ain't no white folk gonna pick cotton neither.
Gonna start callin' you sheets.
My dad picked cotton by hand in the '40s and '50s. They hadn't invented white privilege yet. Plus they didn't have an iPhone or internet to hear about it if they had invented it. Nor indoor plumbing to sit and read and post on INGO
.
We used to run buses to farms in the summer for our high school kids to de-tassel corn.
Speaking to a farmer 10 years ago, he told me he had to stop using teens because they could not keep them off their cell phones.
Hard work good pay... Sorry, not interested, Social media you know.

Most people are homeless, because they're hopeless. You think paying them minimum wage to pick garlic in Gilroy is gonna fix that? You think a vet who can't hold a job because of PTSD or abuse problems is gonna pick avocados?
So, before you go volunteer all veterans so that you can fill your cart at Kroger, why don't you go spend a season picking? Then lets see if you "share the sentiment".
I corn detasseled from age 13 to 17 every summer. Hard work. Great pay. Was good at it too and moved up to supervisor. Got to sit on the back of the tractor or walk behind the detasselers and keep an eye on them. That was even better pay, and much easier work. Just like any job, if you excell at it, you usually have the opportunity to move up. I look back on those days now and boy, i sure had a good time despite the 12 hour days, 7 days a week.
I used to bale hay a lot in the summers... hard work, poor pay. No elevators either, pitch 'em on the wagon, pitch 'em in the haymow. Sweat like crazy, itch for days.
