One notable difference, there's a larger libertarian contingent in the Republican party now, which has helped shift the social policy advocation more to the left, even if personal social values remain the same. But the pro-business standards are very much consistent with 1980s republicans.

The democrats in the 80's were reasonable people, not at all like the radicals of today.

But then politicians in both parties in general are less respectable than they used to be. There is less cooperation, less common sense, less deciding issues on their merits rather than strict party lines and just plain less good.

The Democrats owned DC for 50 years, they could afford to look amicable, until Clinton's Presidency caused the republican contract with America.

That was a turning point. The problem is conservatives think for themselves and cannot be counted on as a BLOCLk.

    Blahk-elk. BLAHK-ulk. Eh I don't think I can pronounce that.

It's like when I bought some jeans for a girlfriend. HOLY CRAP were they expensive.
    Why?
Because they can charge that, because women will pay it.

Maybe the store just bought a new batch of regular shampoo at a higher cost and had to adjust retail accordingly. The men's version could be from a lower cost order six months ago. Bottom line, ask questions before your dumb liberal ass starts another campaign out of boredom.

Liberals do not need a reason or facts to start a campaign. For example, it has been a violation of federal law to pay a woman less than a man for doing the same work for 50 years, yet they still complain that women are paid less than men. Any woman paid less can sue for back pay and damages. Many attorneys would take a case like that on contingency, if it had any basis in fact.
It would be the same as gun-owners complaining about the FBI arresting them for being NRA members.
