I would love to riot, but I would have to stop rioting as soon as it started so that I could go to work and stop said riot.
Me too, but if you could please schedule it around work hours I'd appreciate it. And if we could maybe get a definitive stop time so I can rest up for work. And please, please, make it located near an electronics store, and shoe store, so I can get a TV and new boots in one trip that'd be great?

Hendricks Co. also nabbed a car break-in thief last night. Not sure it's the same one who has been frequenting my neighborhood for the past couple weeks, but it would be nice if it were.

Good job all around, Hendricks Co. Sheriffs Dept!

OK, I think I have this figured out for you. This shooting occurred in Avon, so it's logical that the white homies in Avon would stage this riot, right? In one Avon strip center, there's an HH Gregg, a Payless Shoes, and a Dick's Sporting Goods. If we can get the riot started in that parking lot, you could hit all the bases.

    Where's my purple crayon?

"Something else could've been done besides killing him. I believe he had a mental problem. I believe that he knew that. The police knew that he was not in his right mind," said a neighbor. "You know a Taser would have stopped him."
Here's some expert speculation for you: "You KNOW a taser would've stopped him". Easy to play monday-morning-QB when it's not your skin in the game.

Anyone want to bet on whether there will be riots over another 'unjustified' police shooting?

Next time there is a crazy guy with a knife, how about the sheriff asks this neighbor to go disarm the nutter? You know, since "something different could have been done".

And he could send a couple deputies to video the incident for training purposes too!

My heart goes out to the police officer who had to take the life of another. Many of us make jokes or talk tough about justified shooting. I can tell you that no matter how hard core you believe yourself to be, taking another person's life, even when your actions are righteous and necessary, will haunt you for the rest of your life. It is incredibly important that we all show support to this officer and offer words of encouragement if possible. I can assure you he will have difficult times for the next years when the levity of taking humans life weighs on his soul. I'm not anti justified shooting. In fact, I believe we all should put ourselves in the position to never be a victim and always be able to protect those around us and our selves. I am simply saying it sucks for police officer that had to do this.

Serious note: the Deputy did what had to be done.

Not as serious note: there will be nnnooooo rioting here in Avon. We are a quiet town just west of the Raceway Road DMZ and we like it that way! Take the riots about 12 miles east and get curb-stomped, just leave us alone.

If the dude was in the midst of a psychotic break, from the schizophrenia, it doesn't matter how much he wanted help when he was "normal."

Maybe has to done with why he called, which was the issue you bought up.
Sorry, I am not quite getting your point or how it relates to my post. Yes, the guy probably had mental issues. Yes, his mental issues probably were a contributing factor to the calls for help as well as his subsequent refusal to meet deputies two times. Yes, the same mental issues likely had something to do with whipping out a knife and running at responding deputies. All that said, charging at someone with a knife is - as I said - a heck of a way to ask for help.
