read the other thread about this topic/issue.
This is ridiculous. You have been beyond unhelpful in this thread and the "other" one.

Your solution isn't a solution because we don't have the option of disabling notification of being quoted in the PM settings. If it's somewhere else, I haven't found it. If it's somewhere else, could you please let us know where it is.

As it stands now, the only disabling option we have, that I can find, is to turn off PM notification for ALL PMs. I think it's safe to say that most people don't want to do this. But if we're going to have a limit on the number of PMs we're allowed to have before we breach "full" status, then this stupid setting needs to go. Those who post frequently and/or engage in a string of back-and-forth conversations can easily reach our quota of allowable PMs in a a short time. It's extremely inefficient for time as well, constantly having to check the PMs and clean out the inbox. Not to mention those of us who have email notification of PMs are getting spammed with notifications now.

On my UserCP I have 2 notifications for PM's

    1 labeled "PM Notification settings"

    2 labeled "PM Quote settings"

My quote setting was already in the off position

If I understand those settings correctly...

The notifications setting is simply a binary on/off for PM notifications without differentiation between the kind of notification (actual message or "you've been quoted."
The quote setting is to automatically quote the sender's PM content (and now I understand what you were trying to do, sorry) in the PM body so that the sender gets his original message and your reply.

I don't think there's an option for anything else.

So is anyone getting PM's for their post being quoted?

So you'll tell us there's a solution, but won't direct us to the place? Because it isn't in your job description? Un-****ing-believable.

If I read this correctly, you have to select "yes" to not get quote notifications. Seems nicely backwards. Or am I totally misreading it?

Setting to "Yes" will remove the auto quote from PM's you reply to.
Setting to "No" will not remove the auto quote from PM's you reply to.
