This is something that should have been put on a referendum and voted on before it was ever passed. When our elected officials say their people are against it but they know what is best for us really ticks me off. I havelost all faith in this gov't we have.

Ummm, how do we do a referendum on it? What's the mechanism for that?:dunno:

DST in the Eastern Zone is the correct call.

It was exposed a few years ago that opposition to DST was lead by a state legislator that could not adjust his clock.

DST is simply pointless, and messes with the natural sleep rhythm people develop on their own. If I can sleep for an hour of daylight, so be it. If I wake up in the dark, so be it!

Don't see the need or value of DST.

Personally I do like the longer eveninng daylight hours in the summer. Gives me more time to get those summer things, including hobbies, done. But then again if I wasn't typically working 10-12 days might help too.

I like it. Since about 99% of my regular travel schedule takes me to Michigan, being on the same time with them is nice. I used to hate having to constantly work around that damn "hour"!

    Native Americans have a saying.

"Only the White man can cut the bottom off a blanket.
    Sew it on the top.
And think he's made a longer blanket."

Time is a constant, you know like gravity.

Allowing gov't to change a constant twice a year is the kinda stupid that should be obviously... well stupid.

Maybe the next thing we should do is adjust our bathroom and shipping scales twice a year too to adjust for winter weight gain and slow shipping seasons. But only if the gov't is good enough to convince us it is for our own, stupid, good.

Actually time is not constant. It's relative.

DST is wonderful, IMO. I love it in the summer time when it is light outside until 9:30 at night.

It is so depressing in the winter. I drive to work in the dark, and by the time I get home, I get about 30 minutes of daylight.

Being outdoors, enjoying the weather, is what makes life worth living.

End the daylight "saving" lunacy. It's ridiculous and expensive to keep coonfingering the hours.

    Set it and forget it.

Get rid of time zones while we're at it. We don't rely on sun dials any more. Everyone will know what time is - everywhere - all the time.

Then we'll adopt the metric system and life will be grand. :)

Nah...We built the greatest country the world has ever seen using feet, quarts, and pounds. We have been on a steady decline every since they've started trying to force the metric system down our throats!:D
