What about handicap parking and access ? I will be taking my father to the convention on Friday , he just turned 90 last week. He is able to walk but not long distances.

any answer to this.......i've got 2 that cant walk far either.

There are plenty of spots you could drop someone off at the door if it's possible. Not sure about dedicate parking.

The Murat parking lot on Alabama is usually $5 during the week. Still a seven block walk, though.

Pacers are out of town so should be plenty of parking over at the Virginia St garage. Also, several lots off of Alabama that have early bird specials for $5.

The Denison garage under the Pan Am Plaza building at Georgia and Capitol is just charging their regular pricing for today. No special event parking. Just FYI.

IndyGo bus number 8 runs from the Zoo to the Convention Center and is an alternative to walking.

Downtown on Capitol Avenue right next to the convention center is bumper to bumper crawling for as far as the eye can see. Lots of congestion. Might be a long morning for some folks trying to get into the area to park.

The garage under Pan Am Plaza is still just regular price. Early Bird special and out by 6 PM is just $6.

A reminder: The large, fenced parking lot on the east side of Capital across from the stadium is a postal service parking lot. Not only are they a little touchy about the firearms thing, they're also already talking about towing.

I did the Zoo parking. Worked quite well. Much of the lot empty. $6 and short walk on a sunny Friday afternoon. Park way out at the South/East corner - out by Washington street. There is a wooden stairs there up to Washington street. You then follow Washington Street and cut across at Victory Field and then right into the convention center.

I seen this as I was heading for the zoo and whipped right in there. Then was right back on I70 in a matter of about 2 minutes when I left.

Parked at the mall parking, cost me 4$ for the day. Not a long walk at all. Very nice day to walk anyway

I'd rather pull in and walk.
