I guess I need to sign up for Medicare this year even though I'm not retiring for two more years. Do I have to pay for it even though I'm not going to be using it?
You do NOT have to signup for A or B if you have Employer Insurance & there are more than 20 employees in the plan

When you do retire- you can signup 3-6 months in advance to take effect when the Employer's coverage expires

Part A is free - but part B is ~$200/month with Deductibles ... also you may need part D Prescriptions ... and a Medigap (G/N) for extra coverage

Thanks! The info I got (from .gov) said that even if I was covered by my employer that I had to sign up.
