We had a partial soaking last night, in short blasts.

App showing our little bend in the river indicates a 70% chance of rain in two hours.

Some spots need to be mowed. Others think it's November.
I'll take the rain and start a list of good excuses.

I didn’t get much sleep. The King woke me up a couple of times. I woke once to him putting the neck donut on my forehead. Then he stretched around and was licking his incision. I guess he wanted to show me he could. He then slept the rest of the night on the other pillow.

Susan gave me a scare last night. I was up going to the bathroom when she got up and had to go, so I let her take over the main bathroom while I went out to the half bath in the family room. When I came back she was asleep on the toilet and I couldn't wake her. I was yelling and shaking her and even patting her on the cheeks. I called 911 but got disconnected after giving them our address. Then she woke up and I was able to get her back to bed. A few minutes later a cop arrived and was shining his flashlight around out front, so I hurried and got dressed (left my gun on my dresser) and opened the front door and told him that everything was okay.

I closed the dealership for the holiday weekend, I can sleep in as long as I want this morning. Up at regular time, go figure.

I don’t think this is quite big enough. But he doesn’t seem obsessed with licking, so I will go with the flow at this point. It has a corduroy nylon cover that seems pretty rugged. I also think they must have trimmed his claws, as the definitely feel smoother than usual.
