The dog that was my old avatar for my first years here acted as if nothing happened.

The running and jumping and everything else they said not to do he did while still in their control.

Same for the puppy we got later on.

Susan just filled her van (had to) Wednesday but not at Kroger, so I have 40 cents off that expires tomorrow. I'll take my car and top it off and fill the lawnmower gas can.

Between the thunder and lightning, I'm not the only one waking every ten or twenty minutes.
Daughter has to work early and I drive her. A nap or two "ain't ah gonna" get me there. Coffee or not.

For a while it was too electric for her to feel safe showering. Finally, though.
All of us down.

Then, just a bit ago, a big bolt hit right out on the golf course fairway, hundred feet away or so. First wave shook the house, then the ensuing waves rattled doors and things for a few seconds. WOW!
Everyone is up again.

Dog is not afraid of thunder so much as excessively protective. He wants to go bite it!


It's a nice light show, but I would prefer sleep, just for now.
We did get two nice blitzes of heavy rain, earlier. Straight line WIND, too!
Certainly need the wet.

Earlier I had said those pretty clouds would not amount to much. I was a little off.
Not that much rain, but a lot of showy lightning as they are passing through.
Maybe this is bringing us the cool down we also need.

All those fancy car alarms going off all over creation still!

Just put on Chopin, on my music server, piped into the bedroom branch, via a pair of little 8" coaxial JBLs you probably couldn't find (discreetly mounted), but pleasant and plenty for a single room whisper system.
Tried some rock. This is better.

That evasive sleep thing attempted again.

Very nice!
She's on a week of vacation now, plus the extra paid holiday at the end of it.

Youngs are down. Dog is settled.
Wife is showering the diesel off.
Heading down again, but with my favorite copilot this time.
