I've never shot an under folder. My VZ-2008 had a wire side folder when I first got it and I hated it. It hurt! Not from recoil so much as just being really uncomfortable.
Kind of thought school traffic would be more done with, but I forgot some things are bumped by an hour these days.
But, coming back from the "meat guy" I saw a garage sale. Hard for me to pass up!
Especially one where they have 40ft tall spruces lining the curvy drive, blocking the wagon path a hundred years ago AND the garage is actually a well silvered barn.
Mostly embroidery stuff and quilt making, my mom would have had a time!
Then going through a $1 bin, I found five old chisels with Sverige and a crown logo. I was not passing up vintage Swedish steel.
Only other things I grabbed were a very old (needs a complete overhaul) Stanley No.6 plane and a corroded box cutter almost white with AlO2 and a little stuck, but beautiful, ergonomically curved and clearly a '40s design or older.
Oh, and a small oil lamp with good glass.
Dropped $25. I might have spent that on the five chisels or the plane.
I wasn't there five minutes, but I feel I cherry picked just fine!

We had 18 nice gills today and I had 15 more that hubby caught yesterday that were fileted and in the fridge. Supper tonight and three bags of 16 filets for the freezer. Not bad. Cole helped clean today's catch and is excited to have them for supper.
That's a great day!
It only took about two hours to catch today's. The rest of the time was a boat ride and lunch at Culver's. They were hitting good in the deep water right off the bottom.
Watching "Pale Rider" this evening.
