Good Morning Y’all fellow INGOERs! Looks like a beautiful day for a road trip! Time to put the top down on the cabriolet and soak up some sunshine with my bride. Where to I don’t know but my bride will figure out a destination using our favorite Indiana tour guide book: “Dining Secrets of Indiana”! Should be fun.
    Carpe Diem!

I did well at the Farmer's Market. Kind of a quick in and out. I wasn't shopping; I was buying!

Grabbed some mustard greens and celery from the Mennonite family, all tied up blanching the young growth like they do.
Not sure how they are still producing fabulous greens, but I bought some.
I feel tying up the older leaves does something that some of us forgot about or maybe we didn't pay close enough attention to our grandmas.

Green beans, corn, watermelon, BBQ, carrots.
Showing up early, it's crowded, but most are still shopping, no lines yet!
    I was home by 8:20.

Need not be present thru the process. It does need an occasional stirring
I've always wanted to try my hand at apple butter.
I've done a lot of canning over the years, but not much with apples.
    Just need more apples!

Our close by apple orchard changed to a yuppy store about ten years ago. Redecorated, fancied up the landscaping, tripled the price of everything, brought in French garbage and cheeses and began to cater to the Carmel market.
    The place S*XX now.
    :(
I've been over to both the ones near Mt Comfort and Mooresville with some success, but not in a while.
