    they really are some sweet dogs. But man, if you don't know that, they're VERY intimidating. They're pretty protective too though. Great companion
    I've never had one, but knew one kept by a hunting buddy.
    I usually had large Labs. 80 or more lbs often. Great for everything.

    But where a rabbit blew its cover, my dogs took thirty steps or so. The big terrier took about twenty to get a mouthful.

    Intimidation done!

    Looks like our rain is going to get here earlier than they thought if it holds together.

    We've had dark ominous clouds to the west since mid morning, promises not yet kept.
    They tend to break at our little bend in the river.

    But we have had light drizzle for about an hour and the skies have darkened ever further now.
    Wind is really up!

    I say, "Let 'er rip!" and my wife keeps dressing me down telling me to think of the farmers.

    Where I grew up, farmers just planted their third crops and NEED the rain. After thirty years here, I still have yet to get all that choked down.
