OSUT 258: Better late than never....Summer Days are Near

Few things accomplished this morning. Bought time for a bit of grub.

Lot of “ water craft “ on the lake. Today was annual kayak poker run. Registration ( $15 ) and anchors up 11-12. At 11:40 had over 100 vessels ( anything that floats ) registered. Food, live music. Winning poker hand receives a new kayak. Couple hours later they last few still haven’t finished…messing around and taking their time.

Went to the grocery. I just needed bread and milk, but of course I bought $50 worth of stuff...

Got the trailer unloaded and that load burned. First handful I grabbed revealed that the whole pile was infested with ants. Had 'em all over my arms instantly. Solved the problem by getting the pitchfork out of the shed and unloading big chunks onto the fire that way.

Well, traffic on 62 was still uber slow in both directions. But I must confess. This is the slowest Saturday (of Spring shoot) that I've seen in Friendship since I started coming here.

Got the trailer loaded up again. Still have another load worth on the ground, but have to wait to burn this load. Probably going to give it another couple of weeks to dry some more.

Howdy all. Had to make a double Kroger run. Wanted sweet potatoes and corn on the cob to have with filets tomorrow. My usual Kroger had 2 dried up shriveled sweet potatoes, and about the same for corn on the cob. The second was well-stocked in both.
