We grilled some peaches and strawberries.

Nod to Alamo who admonished me elsewhere about pineapple.

Even canned pineapple grilles well, but the extra sugar is annoying. Tends to over char.
Just cutting up a pine apple into long slivers is my favorite way.
I eat the some of the husks when we have a fresh one, fired crispy!

Don't the strawberries cook up fast? Do they turn to mush?

All fresh fruit can be touchy on a fire.

I have a way to smoke from up high and just before eating, I lay them closer to the fire and char them.
No mush, but smoked strawberries roKK.
    Peaches, too.

Daughter puts them on her s'mores with chocolate.
    Youngs?

    :ugh:

I came in a bit ago to reload my pipe.
Back out minutes later and that very far off thunder we were hearing was here.

Pouring from the hands of the dickens right now.
Take it back. Lord left us without a long time last year. This is nourishment.

My home is in the main watershed, so BRING it!

    Not far from the tree
Tired tonight. Barb was gone all day so no interruptions in my work. Bush hogged a bunch of thistles across the road. Mowed the lawn. Rearranged the travel and cargo trailers and put some 100 mph tape on a cracked skylight on the camper. Did 3 loads of laundry. Had a beer with a friend here on his way home from the funeral home. Sent him home with my 1/2" impact and some brassicas. Ran the weed whip around the house and got about 1/2 the water side face of the dam done as well. And I'm whupped.

I need to clear off my bench, got a lot done.
    After that I'm heading down.

Woke up sinussy with a headache, but somehow this little wave of weather made my head right again, finally.

    Rest well everyone!
