Change of plans. After walking around the yard and picking up dog poop, I've decided to go ahead and mow this morning. With the expected rain tomorrow morning, it would be awfully long by the time I could get to it. Plus with working all week, I'd be having to cut it in the late afternoon when it's the hottest.

Funny, Ruthie usually does most of her business out at the back of the property, but with it being so hot, it was all up close to the house. I don't think she's wanted to walk all the way back there. :):

After a visit to Dracs shack this morning I picked up a battery for the mower then a watermelon and a couple maters from our farmers market. Would've picked up more but their prices were crazy high. I was crazy to pay what I did but I really wanted some watermelon.
I found the same high prices in our little berg.
Certain things are a MUST, though.

I want a watermelon, too. But I passed at $12 per, even though they were nice size.

I agree. A watermelon was a must. They were $15 for the big ones and $12 for the smaller ones. I settled for a smaller one. The maters were $1 each but they were big so I grabbed 3.

It's crazy how expensive what's normally a cheap fruit to buy is these days. I'm gonna have a good tomato crop it appears. Just need some to turn red.
