Why is it that no matter what the subject matter, in every single dramatic movie, it seems to be the norm to sit around in dark rooms and whisper. Do the people in these movies really not have lights? Not even a single lamp? Makes it really hard to watch out here on the deck. As for the sound, they'll go from whispering (so I have to turn the volume WAY up to hear) to blaringly loud. Do people never just speak in conversational tones?
And it's not even that it's night time. They'll be in a pitch black home, then walk outside into broad daylight. I'm sure they think it's dramatic. It's not. It's annoying.
