This is typical, if you use a Zippo, like mine.

This discussion leads to knowing from soldiers in the field that a Zippo will run on darn near anything. Kerosene, gasoline, diesel, paint thinner, laquer thinner, whiskey have all been reported to work in a pinch.

I've thought about going to a bike shop to see if I could get an old innertube. I've heard of people cutting off about a 1" section and stretching it over the lighter where the lid meets the body to seal it. Supposedly it makes quite a difference in the evaporation rate. To use the lighter, you just roll it down, flip the lid, light, and then roll it back up when you close the lid.

    Sounds like a great idea.
Never tried it, but moving that way.

Only two inner tube sizes I have laying around are too small and too large.

Good evening everyone… looks like the Tropical Storm is south Texas is flooding things.
    It's an impressive little storm.
Good thing it developed in the Gulf instead of the mid Atlantic.
At 995mb as it approached shore, that is within hurricane range. Maybe why they named it.

Said the northern reach from center of the storm could excede 400mi.

That's more than the Texas coastline, BTW.
